FAQs - General

I have an email solution, why do I need Ideolve?

Email is a great communication tool, especially for talking with the outside world.

It is also the most popular way that users exchange documents. However, though used extensively for collaboration over ideas, projects, and decision making, it is not the best of tools for these uses.

Ideolve has the following advantages when it comes to ideation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing:

1. While email is a contact-centric application, Ideolve is topic or idea-centric. Discussions around ideas, concepts, and projects are central; teams are dynamic.

2. Though ubiquitous, problems such as spam, duplication of information, unreadable trial mail, no easy way to share history, and more, plague email solutions.

3. Ideolve solves these problems improving the internal efficiencies and enabling quick decision making, easier knowledge management, and sharing.

How is Ideolve different from a cloud file store?

Ideolve and Cloud file store Apps like Dropbox and Drive are ideal for uploading documents, with some apps providing collaborative creation and editing of the document content.

Documents are an outcome of a discussion as a way to record or to lay out a plan, strategy, or idea.

So, where are the underlying discussion and conversations stored? Are they available for future reference?

Ideolve helps you do just that. It can keep both the documents and the conversations around it in a single place.

I have a messaging and communication solution, why do I need Ideolve?

Messaging solutions allow smooth communications and document sharing.

But messaging systems are people-centric. These systems organize a group of people.

Ideolve flips this, making the topic, issue, or idea central to the conversation.

Teams collaborating around an idea or issue can be dynamic. Ideolve is not just for communications; it is a powerful tool for collaboration.

How can I use Ideolve with the CRM software?

Ideolve can be an ideal companion software for CRM. Whereas a CRM holds the customer contact and the workflow to convert a contact to a customer, Ideolve can be used to discuss ideas, strategies, and plans to work with customers. With Ideolve, it is easy to share best practices, market intelligence, and knowledge gained from working with customers.

How can I use Ideolve with project management software?

The use of a project management tool usually starts after the plan with broken down tasks for project execution is ready.

But the discussions, ideation, and brainstorming before the project execution are often stored in bits and pieces in email, messages, and documents.

Ideolve helps you have all this information in a central place, making it easy to build and refine your project plans.

Sign up for Ideolve

Start with registering for Ideolve and we will create a workspace for you. Collect ideas and thoughts and invite people to collaborate.

Creating Workspaces and Notes - Capturing Ideas & Information

A workspace can be an initiative, project or a team name. Each workspace is separate from the other and you can invite different people to different workspaces. Notes can be created using text, images, documents, hyperlinks as content around a subject, idea, initiative or project; anything that needs attention, to be worked upon, referred to etc.

Inviting People

Invite people to join you on Ideolve to work on Ideas and initiatives.

Sharing Notes

You can share a note with people in your workspace or outside. Sharing a note allows people to collaborate by posting comments on the notes shared. A comment can (like the note) contain text, hyperlinks, attachments etc.

Organising Personal and Shared Notes

You can tag notes created by you as well as notes shared with you. Each note can have more than one tag. Tags help you add multiple context to a note making it easy for you to search for and navigate through the notes. This feature is especially useful as the number of notes in your workspace grows.

Publishing Notes and Sharing Across Apps

Publish Ideolve note links to other office productivity software such as the CRM or project management to help establish the context for all the stake holders.
